FAQ

Common questions

What happens if I reinstall Windows or switch PCs?

Just reinstall the app and log in with the same Twitch account. Your license is tied to your Twitch ID, not your machine.

Does the app need to run while I stream?

Yes — the app runs in your Windows system tray and serves the overlay on a local port. OBS connects to it via Browser Source. It uses very little CPU or RAM.

Does it work on Mac or Linux?

Currently Windows only. Mac and Linux support is on the roadmap.

Will I get future updates?

Yes. Updates are free. The app checks for updates automatically and notifies you when one is available.

My antivirus flagged the installer. Is it safe?

The app is unsigned for now (code signing is in progress). This can trigger Windows Defender warnings. You can click "More info" then "Run anyway" — the app is safe. Full code signing with a verified certificate is coming soon.

I bought it but it says not activated?

Make sure you're logging in with the same Twitch account you left in the Etsy order notes. If there's a mismatch, message me on Etsy and I'll fix it right away.
